$50 Dollar outfit Challenge: Valentine’s Day Edition

Have a Date for V-Day?

Outfit 1: Sweet, Subtle, & Romantic

.

.

Not all Valentine’s Day looks need to bold and bright red or pink. Sometimes a nice blush shade of pink brings to mind more romantic thoughts than your typical Valentine’s Day red. Whether you’re meeting up with the girls or meeting your partner. This outfit comes in just under budget at $49.98. Utilizing Forever 21 & Zara I was able to pull together a great “going out” look. The Pink Polka Dot Dress from Forever 21 you can where well into summer, and this pattern is perfect for spring! The Wrap style works on most body types, and shows enough decolletage to tantalize for more. Spruce up the outfit by adding some texture with this faux fur clutch from Zara. Create depth with added shine from the satin shoes with a diamond broach. Pull it all together with a choker in the same color which will bring attention to your face. Top it off with a classic wool-pea coat either in Pink, Red, or any neutral color for added warmth.

Outfit 2: Bold, Sexy, & Fashion Forward

.

.

If you prefer something more bold and bright, go red for Valentine’s Day. For this look I went a little over budget at a total of $51.29. The outfit completing with the stole was really a steal, (pun intended).

.

The stole added a luxurious cozy feeling, and is a great accessory for playful flirting. The faux fur stoles are very popular this season. It’s best to wear it by wrapping the stole around your shoulders over this sexy little red dress from Fshion Nova.  I love the chines inspired gold floral embroidery,  that feels like a throwback and current all at the same time. (Note: You can also wear this dress over a t-shirt for fun day time look paired with converses or combat boots) Add some shine and weight to the outfit with Black Patent Leather Booties from Zara, and a simple black faux leather clutch. We would top off the outfit with gold jewelry such as long dangling earrings or hoops & a few gold bangles. For added warmth and coverage throw on black tights sheer or opaque would work well to pull the entire look together!
