Women deserve to know that they are beautiful, strong, courageous, powerful, and competent. Women defy the standards put against them every day to prove that they have a voice. Woman can overcome fear, doubt, a biased patriarchal system and anything else set in our way. Women rise up to succeed and help others on the way.

Fix another queen’s crown without telling the world it was crooked. The biggest flaw we as women have is talking down about other women. It seems harmless. Everyone tries to tell themselves, it’s not gossip if you are stating facts. Consider the question, “Is this an accomplishment or a setback for her?” If it isn’t one of her accomplishments then the world probably doesn’t need to know about it. If it is an accomplishment, then broadcast it to the world. Tell strangers on the subway about the book that your friend wrote. Post a link to promote your friend’s business on Twitter and FB. Put pictures on IG of your friend’s graduation or her new place.

Some people try and tell themselves, “That couldn’t be me.” Without stopping to remember no one plans for bad things to happen, they just happen. Everyone makes mistakes, it is a part of life. Why broadcast her failures and whisper her accomplishments? If you have a friend that’s going through a tough time; take a minute to send her an encouraging YouTube video or song, call her to check up on her. Send her inspirational Bible quotes and say a prayer together. Having a strong support system can mean the world of difference for someone. We are all interconnected. When we open up to support each other, it makes the world a more harmonious place. The more you stand on these values, the more you will see a healing in the people around you. Create your own world of tolerant, caring, uplifting people. When your team is strong, it makes you stronger.

Setbacks do not define a person. Sometimes what seems like a failure is a moment highlighting the lesson that needed to be learned or growth that still has to be made. At times, failure might be a catalyst to inspire others to go after their goals. Remember a person can choose to succumb to hardship and throw in the towel or can choose to dust themselves off, learn from mistakes, and push themselves to be better. Women everywhere have proved we are the force behind every great dream.
