Back in January we covered the We Believe Network’s Her Legacy Gala & Conference at Columbia University and it was amazing and filled with accomplished women.
The application for the WE Rise Network is now open until May 30th.
What is the WERise Network?
In 2015 three Columbia University students came together to create WEBelieve. An organization dedicated to finding innovative ways to close the achievement gap for women, particularly women of color. The first initiative launched was Dare to Dream, a groundbreaking youth empowerment program for middle school girls. The program was such a success, the organization received funding to start a nationwide network, the WERise Network.
The organization is now looking for 5 women to start a chapter on their college campuses. Women selected to join will be supported on their college campuses to implement community service projects, receive professional and leadership training, and attend a national conference in NYC (Spring 2018). Members will also have access to scholarships, internship opportunities, as well as be connected to women leaders in various fields such as technology, engineering, business, law, and politics.
