Wyclef Unveils Mural of Himself in Newark

Wyclef helped to unveil a mural in honor of his life and music as a Newark native in Newark. The Grammy award winning artists is best known for his work as a member of the Fugees, and hist solo projects in the early 200’s. He recently help to break out new artist Jazzy Amra.

The GRAMMY Museum, Prudential Center along with founding partner, Prudential Financial, unveiled their first mural of their five-part music themed mural series within the city of Newark. Both organizations share a mutually strong commitment to the local communities they serve, and believe this collaboration  will add another colorful thread to progress underway in Newark, and will help shine a spotlight on the city’s rich musical roots.

Teaming up with Yendor Arts, a Newark based art organization, The Experience and Prudential Financial selected Camille Coté, also known as FABS, to curate the first mural which is located in the city’s West Ward Fairmount neighborhood.
