Newark, NJ- Last weekend Mayor Ras J. Baraka was joined by actor and Grammy award winning hip hop artist Common, rapper Fabolous, Dj and Power 105.1 radio personalities Charlemagne Tha God and DJ Envy at Weequahic High School. The group of men collaborated along with the homeless coalition and other volunteers in an effort to feed 300 homeless people from the gymnasium of Weequahic High School. Newark, NJ- Last Friday Mayor Ras J. Baraka was joined by actor and Grammy award winning hip hop artist Common, rapper Fabolous, Dj and Power 105.1 radio personalities Charlemagne Tha God and DJ Envy at Weequahic High School. The group of men collaborated along with the homeless coalition and other volunteers in an effort to feed 300 homeless people in the City of Newark. Those in need of a home cooked meal gathered inside of the high school gymnasium and took advantage of the charitable event. Health screenings for those in need were offered to attendees as well.
