Meek Mill Receives a Plethora of Love After Being Released From Jail
Yesterday was a great day for the city of Philadelphia. Rap artist Meek Mill who was jailed back in November due to a probation violation was released on unsecured bail. Since his sentencing other hip hop artist have been very vocal about their disapproval of his sentencing. It was seen as unfair and extreme punishment for a simple probation violation by many and one being Meek’s current record label Roc Nation’s CEO, Jay-z who’s spoken out publicly about his discontentment with Meek’s sentencing.

Jay-z even penned a New York Times Op-Ed explaining his theory on why Meek was a target to the criminal justice system one of his quotes from the piece being “What’s happening to Meek Mill is just one example of how our criminal justice system entraps and harasses hundreds of thousands of black people every day.” Read more at nytimes.com

The Philly bred rapper received a plethora of love from fellow music artists, entertainers and fans on social media yesterday. From Kevin Hart, to Rihanna and so many more all showed love and complete joy for the fact that Meek was released from jail. He was even photographed a 76ers basketball game court side with his sons and Kevin Hart shortly after his release.
