True to the Game NYC Movie Premiere
New York City- Last night at the AMC Lowes in New York City the iconic urban novel True to the Game premiered the film adaptation of the book.

Author Teri Woods was joined by cast and crew members such as Vivica Fox, Andra Fuller, and Lorenzo Eduardo on the red carpet during the premiere. The film was produced by Manny Halley who was also in attendance.

Columbus Short is starring as the character Quadir along side Erica Peeples as Gina and the late Nelsan Ellis as the character Tyrik. Draya Michelle is also featured in the film as the character Quadir’s ex-girlfriend Cherelle.

Other celebrities in attendance included Power’s Andrea Rachel, and Donshea Hopkins, America’s Next Top Model’s Ms. J, and many others.

Many would argue that this novel is what began the urban fiction literature genre. The True to the Game book was highly popular among teens and young adults in the urban community during the late 90’s and 2000’s.
