Last night, BET honored award-winning multi-platinum MC, songwriter, record producer, and actor Busta Rhymes with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the “BET Awards” 2023. Among the artists to join Busta Rhymes on stage was a standout performance from the Grammy-nominated ‘Queen of Dancehall’ Spice. 

Busta Rhymes and Spice joined forces during the lifetime achievement tribute performance to pay homage to the influence of Caribbean and dancehall culture in the rapper’s 30-plus-year musical legacy. Spice treated the audience to her classic hit “So Mi Like It,” teasing Busta Rhymes on stage when she asked “Busta, are you ready?” and following the comment with her signature dance moves and splits. Spice is a pioneer of dancehall music and has made history as one of the most prolific artists to bring the genre into mainstream culture. 

This performance comes on the heels of Spice’s latest music release, “Jealous,” available now on all music streaming platforms and YouTube. You can also catch Spice weekly on the new season of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta airing Tuesdays on MTV at 8pm ET/PT.
