Producers Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil's original series 'Love Is___' premieres tonight on Own at 10 pm. The new series takes place in the 90's with the backdrop of black Hollywood. The series follows the couple Yasir and Nuri as they not only follow their dreams of success in Hollywood but also follow their hearts which leads to one another. The series is based on the real life love story of the Akils' who are now married with a family today. Tune in tonight for the first episode. Be prepared for a nostalgic experience as we  relive the 90's.
