Caviar by DNHG is a brand new upscale restaurant that just opened last year in Edgewater, New Jersey. Caviar offers freshly sourced seafood, and your traditional menu items such as dry aged steak, lamb and more. I visited last week and tried their original black label caviar, steak, lump crab cakes, Chilean sea bass and I’ve been impatiently waiting to return. The food, service and ambiance was exquisite.
The steak was cooked to perfection, and the crab cakes were the best I’ve ever tasted, and that’s comparing them to the crab cake capital of the United States, Maryland. I’ve never had a crab cake with so many large, juicy chunks of crab meat, 95% crabmeat and very little filling, and it was delicious. Now, no other crab cake will compare. The music set the vibe, along with the dĂ©cor and the custom art piece of a chandelier sourced straight from Morocco, which was fabulous. As a first-timer trying caviar, I was nervous, but Caviar by DNHG presented an elite experience. Their high-quality private label caviar has convinced me this is a seafood item I need to add to my usual when I go out to dinner.
Their freshly sourced caviar was buttery and tasty, an I am eager to return soon for brunch. There’s also a patio that will be put to great use over the summer months because I will be visiting once the weather is warmer.
