Ambition ‘N’ Heelz Presents ‘The Boss Connect II’
Paramus, NJ- Motivation, determination, and drive are some of the the qualities needed in order to be successful at anything you do in life. Last Saturday women with those characteristics and more gathered at the Nieman Marcus Rotunda located inside of the Garden State Plaza Mall with the intent of networking and enhancing their businesses as entrepreneurs.
.
Business partners Desare Ward and Nija Bronson were the master minds behind this elegant networking experience. These ladies orchestrated a beautiful event presented by their event planning company Ambition ‘N’ Heelz. Fresh flower bouquets lined the center of each table, free flowing sangria and wine was supplied by the open bar, live music was presented by DJ Sienna, and beautiful plate settings were neatly placed in front of each chair. This was not your ordinary networking/panel discussion event. These two ladies elevated your typical networking experience to another level. To a level where after attending you feel like you’ve made a great investment in your professional career. The rotunda was well lit with natural lighting provided by the rooftop windows along the windows that aligned each wall. Guests posed for photos provided by the event’s photographer in front of the backdrop of the NJ while on the balcony or in front of the Nieman Marcus step and repeat. To say the least the entire setting was the perfect scenery for instagrammable photos and boomerangs.
.
You’ve probably rarely heard of networking events taking place at Neiman Marcus, and that was part of Desare and Nija’s intent when planning their first and second Boss Connect event. They wanted to impress their attendees with a one of a kind experience. Desare told us “Before we even decided on the name and purpose of the event, the goal was to find a venue space that would blow the minds of our followers. We wanted a space that represented Ambition N Heelz, something feminine, fabulous, intimate and unforgettable. Our love for fashion, sparked our interest in the Rotunda Restaurant at Neiman Marcus in Garden State Plaza Mall. We had a girl’s day out and decided to dine at the restaurant and instantly we knew that a venue space of that caliber would be a perfect outlet for ambitious women to network, connect and collaborate. Our goal was to target visionary women that could contribute to this networking forum and be open to learning and sharing their knowledge and experiences.”
.
Guests chose their entrees over conversation and wine from the mini bar. Not long after the event’s start time connections were already being made as tables were sprinkled with business card confetti as women exchanged contact information the vintaged way of giving out cards coupled with the 2018 way of exchanging instagram handles. After dinner the ‘main event’ began as the women engaged with the panel of powerful, successful and diverse business women. The panel included Kisha Reeves who owns an event planning business, Life and career coach Kelly Lynn Adams, Publicist Lynn Hobson, credit specialist Takiyah Williams, Doctor Marie Jackson, makeup artist and glam beauty bar owner Jean Michelle Capella, and myself as the moderator.
.
Each woman answered questions related to their careers, and lent to the audience advice on how to further enhance their businesses and careers. Kelly candidly shared how and why she chose to leave a very successful 10 year career at Gucci’s corporate offices to start her business of helping women interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Doctor Marie Jackson detailed how the #metoo movement has also plagued the medical field for years and how she avoided being a victim of gender-ism. These details are only the tip of the ice berg you truly had to be there in order to accurately get the gist of the energy and experience at The Boss Connect II.
.
There was sort of a ripple effect that took place once one woman mustard up the courage to ask questions from the audience before you knew it everyone was engaged and the conversation grew so large we ran out of time.

Desare shared with us that enhancing a woman’s knowledge and creativity are a few reasons why The Boss Connection is important. “An event such as the Boss Connect is important to women because it enhances our confidence, independence, knowledge, and creativity. As women we have so many different life experiences to share that can encourage and motivate each other to thrive. It’s amazing for us to witness our guests make new connections professionally and personally. We are honored to create so many magical moments,” – Desare Ward.
.
I know what the men are thinking, ‘Are these event only exclusive to women?’ and guess what men, Nope! To your surprise you’ll soon have the opportunity of attending one of Ambition ‘N’ Heelz’s networking events as well according to Desare. “We plan to continue creating events that are unique, informative, and enhances the professional development of our female followers.
