Dexter Scott King, the youngest son of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, passed away at 62 after succumbing to his battle with prostate cancer.
His wife, Leah Weber King, shared that he transitioned peacefully in his sleep at home.
Dexter, who served as chairman of the King Center, dedicated his life to advancing the dream his parents had for future generations, turning the pain of his father’s early loss into a commitment to activism.
