At the graduation ceremony for the graduating class of 2017 of Bethune-Cookman college the graduates stood and turned their backs to the Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.

 

DeVos is the appointed Education Secretary for the Trump administration. As we know Donald Trump has been openly racist and discriminatory with his comments towards people of color. There’s no surprise that the graduating class of a Historically Black College would be less than enthused to hear her speak at their ceremony.
