Yesterday the National Portrait Gallery unveiled the official portraits of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. The Obama’s selected 2 African American artists to create these one of a kind painting. Artist Kihnde Wiley painted the president’s portrait while artist Amy Sherald created the first lady’s.

President Obama’s portrait will be on display in the America’s Presidents section of the Smithsonian Institution. First Lady Michelle Obama’s portrait will be on display in another section of the gallery.
