One of the most famous image makers will appear at IMATS NY: Joanne Gair. Her body-painting work on Demi Moore (Vanity Fair August 1992) and on supermodels for the yearly Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has put her at the pinnacle of the body-art genre. Gair’s iconic work with Madonna spanned 10 years and included the “Vogue” video and the Blonde Ambition Tour. Learn about the latest products and techniques from major talents like Emily Clayton, Nicholas Lujan and DeShawn Hatcher. And what would an IMATS be without the student make-up competition, Battle of the Brushes? Our BOTB themes for 2019 are Misfits and Graffiti Glam for the character/prosthetic and beauty/fantasy categories. Produced by Make-Up Artist magazine, IMATS is also held annually in Los Angeles, London, Toronto and Atlanta.
