4 Artists Confirmed for Newark’s Lincoln Park Festival

The Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District (LPCCD) has began to announce artists for its annual music festival.  The Lincoln Park Music Festival, now in its 12th year, is the one of the largest free outdoor music festivals in the region with an average annual audience of 60,000 attendees.

The legendary Joaquin “Joe” Claussell returns the to Lincoln Park Music Festival House Music Day stage for the first time in over 5 years!

Twenty years ago, Claussell – intrigued by eclectic range of dance music being championed by the legends of New York club programming – immersed himself in the niche of record amassing and DJ culture, and it was in this circle that he quickly made his home.  Partial owner of the historic Dance Tracks in NYC, Claussell experimented with infusing House Music with African folk music, the intricate orchestration of Salsa & Latin Jazz, other-worldly dabblings of avant-garde & ambient electronics including the hardened, minimal funk of Detroit & German techno breathing new life the soulful house circuit and early NYC dance music.  Claussell has worked with legendary disco-era DJs Francois Kevorkian & Danny Krivit in founding the iconic Sunday weekly Body & Soul, then he established the former label Spiritual Life Music and now the more recent Sacred Rhythm Music.  He continues to DJ globally and in the Greater NYC area and New Jersey.



Chart topping dance music diva CeCe Peniston is celebrating her 25th year in the music business.   The international club music icon, artist, performer and songwriter is considered to be one of the most successful dance/club artists in the history of the US Billboard
Hot Dance Music/Club Play Charts.  Peniston’s hit single “Finally” hit the charts and CeCe accomplished what all talented artists can only dream of, inking a deal for her own debut album.  Peniston received several awards for her achievements in the music industry including: Best New Artist (Dance), three ASCAP Awards and POP Songwriter of The Year, Best Dance Solo Artist, Best 12’ Dance Record at the Annual Winter Music Conference, and the BMI Urban Award of Achievement. The album itself was a 1993 Soul Train Music Award nominee for Best R&B/Soul Album (Female Category). By year’s end, Peniston was named the No.1 Billboard “Hot Dance Music/Club Play” Artist.
