Pop star icon Rihanna has been busy not only touring, and making music but also busy helping those in need.
The singer is being honored next Tuesday, February 28th at Harvard University’s award ceremony. She will receive the University’s Peter J. Gomes Humanitarian award for her humanitarian accomplishments. Rihanna has built a stat of the are facility for detecting and treating breast cancer in her native country of Barbados. This facility housed inside of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Rihanna has also started and maintained a charity called the Clara and Lionel Foundation, which she has been very vocal about, which awards scholarships to graduating high school students from Caribbean countries looking to attend college in the United States.
This is a great week for her the singer just celebrated her 29th birthday 3 days ago.
