The CEF You Be The Chemist New Jersey Regional Challenge took place on Saturday, February 23rd, at the Rahway Recreation Center, bringing together middle school teams from across New Jersey to compete for a chance to advance to the national competition. In partnership with BASF and KOBO, this event successfully promoted STEM education among young students, particularly in marginalized communities.
Teams of bright young minds showcased their knowledge in chemistry, problem-solving, and critical thinking, with judges from leading companies such as MERCK and BASF evaluating their performances. Through this initiative, we continue our mission to inspire and equip the next generation of scientists and innovators.
The success of this event was made possible by the dedication of volunteers, including students from Kean University, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Omega Psi Omega Chapter, and the Urban League of Union County Young Professionals. Their support helped foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, reinforcing our commitment to expanding STEM opportunities for all.
