A young couple in Ohio committed suicide just days apart from one another. 18 year old Mercedes Smith and Markeice Brown 17 killed themselves just days apart from one another.
According to Columbia Magazine, 18-year-old Mercedes Shaday Smith — a communications major and freshman at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky — was found unresponsive in her dorm room at Wilson College early Thursday morning (Apr. 20), according to ColumbiaMagazine.com.
After reading responses on Markeice’s social media Mercedes’s friends had reason to believe that Merkeice was the one to blame for her suicide.
Below is a Facebook post Markeice uploaded while mourning the lost of his girlfriend Thursday following her death.
The below note was his apparent digital suicide note
Another surprise to this twisted love story is that Mercedes was allegedly pregnant with Markeice’s baby at the time of her suicide.
Markeice also posted a video mourning the death of his girlfriend Mercedes.
There are no developments as to how the 2 committed suicide.
Lindsey Wilson is currently offering counseling services for students. A vigil is planned for Smith and a GoFundMe page has been started for her funeral arrangements here
