Lisa Nicole Cloud: Fashion for a Cause NYFW Recap
New York, NY- Sunday afternoon Urban Girl Magazine attended the Lisa Nicole Cloud Fashion for a Cause fashion show sponsored by Monster headphones at Slate in NYC.
This fashion show featured the Machicao Couture by New York City based designer who’s designed for Miss South Carolina, Luis Machicao. And of course the Lisa Nicole Collection by Lisa Nicole Cloud.
Machicao Couture featured elegant bridal and evening gowns. The Machicao Couture line of gowns featured chiffon and lace fabrics with a mix of floor length and train accompanied dresses.
In the Lisa Nicole STRONG Collection she featured an array of styles that were mostly contemporary, classic, and sexy designs. Many of these designs can easily transition off the New York runway and onto the concrete catwalk. The Lisa Nicole Collection mixed in sleek pant styles along with lacey evening gowns.
Lisa Nicole said the title of her newest collection STRONG is an acronym which stands for : She’s Triumphant Resilient an Over comer and Never Gives Up, “When I design clothes I think of women and their power and their class and their sophistication, and I want women to be bold and courageous in how they live their lives.”
Cloud went on to explain how her inspiration is fashion pioneer Donna Karen,“I’m really inspired by Donna Karen actually…”
Fashion for a Cause is designer and reality tv star, Lisa Nicole Cloud and her husband Dr. Darren Naugles’s way of merging their professions for philanthropy, as Lisa explains, “Fashion for a Cause is a philanthropic endeavor that my husband and I do together. Bringing the world of fashion and medicine into one. So in July of 2017 we’re going to be doing medical missions together. We’re sending about $250,000 worth of medical supplies and equipment to Haiti and it’s sponsored by Med-Share and North Side Cherokee Hospital.”
Each model walked the runway carrying a pair of metallic Monster head phones.
