Fun Holiday DIY You & Your Kids Will Love
Tis the Season Urban Girl,
This is and has always been my favorite time of year, its festive, fun and a excuse to get fat. (Just Joking)
To kick off my Holiday season every year I try to challenge myself to experience or do something I never done before. Last year I set out with the family to take Tristyn to the Times Square Toys R Us before they shut their doors and ride the Ferris wheel. Mission Accomplished!
This year I challenged myself to a holiday DIY project. Ideally I did not know what I wanted to do but I knew that I wanted to explore my creative juices.
I took my talents on to Pintrest and of course the idea of Holiday centerpieces came to mind. I scurried through a few pins and decided to mesh a few ideas together and this happened:
Supplies:
- 3 Glass Mason Jars
- 1 pack of fake snow
- Jumbo Sticker Letters
- Frosted glass Spray
- Matte Clear Finisher
- Mini magnets
- Mini Presents
- Led tea lights
- Stick Snowman
* I bought all the supplies at my local A.C Moore*
Step 1: Place each letter sticker on each jar, try to keep it centered as much as possible. If you are a perfectionist then you might want to line them up with tape so they will have the same distance.
Step 2: Spray Paint the jars with frosted glass paint. I did two coats and i sat it outside for about ten minutes. I would recommend a 15 minute wait per coat.
Step 3: Once completely dry, spray paint with the clear matte sealer. Let it sit overnight to completely dry.
Step 4: Remove the stickers.
Step 5: Fill mason jar with snow and let your creativity go.
Super Simple & Easy!
