Solange Knowles celebrated her birthday over the weekend in true Cancerian fashion. The 37-year-old multidisciplinary artist took to Instagram, Saturday, sharing a carousel of intimate moments from her birthday festivities; dedicated to “all the black women who lift me up and bring me joy every day!”

In one slide, “The Cranes in the Sky” singer, is shown casually dancing when a friend arrives in an SUV, providing a soundtrack for an impromptu “twerk” session. 

In another slide, Solange performs a choreographed routine with who appears to be, niece, Blue Ivy Carter. Carter has been having a moment of her own lately, dancing on stage with her superstar mom, Beyonce, during the Renaissance World Tour. 

In another slide, Solange can be seen belting out Keyshia Cole’s 2005 hit, “Love” alongside her sister, Beyonce, and a few friends. 

One last notable slide, showed the famous sisters joyously vocalizing while jet skiing in complementary outfits. Beyonce even gave her sister a birthday shout out at her Frankfurter show and engaged the crowd to do the same.

Knowles recently celebrated Saint Heron’s ‘Like the Moon, Like the Sun;’ the launch event of a rare blend, Golden Apple aged 23 years, in partnership with Crown Royal.’ She also recently launched the Small Matter Art Objects: Handblown Glassware 001 Collection, a series of glass works created to amplify a space less occupied by melanated people. While the glassware collection is currently sold out, Golden Apple is now available at a retailer near you.
